I spent last weekend at the Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead. The British Medical Acupuncture Society were running a course in palliative care for health professionals who have also trained in acupuncture. None of the acupuncture points we covered were new to us, but we were presented with the latest clinical evidence in how effective they are in managing common complaints such as pain, nausea/vomiting, breathlessness, dry mouth, hot flushes. It is a requirement of Osteopathic registration that we annually undergo 30 hours of Continued Professional Development ("CPD"). Last weekend I went on Joyous Isle's "Dare to Dream" weekend. The course is run three times a year by the amazing Sarah Frossell, NLP Trainer. The weekend acts an introduction to NLP for those considering undergoing the Practitioner Training but is equally incredibly useful if you are at a transition point in your life, and want to create a new and compelling vision for your future, as well as learn to be more successful in everything you do. This is the second time I've been on this course. It is held in Edmondsham, Dorset, in a village hall, surrounded by fields of horses and pheasants.
