What is Stress-induced pain?

All pain is "felt" in the brain. Pain has a protective mechanism. If tissues are damaged in the body, because of a trauma, they should have healed completely within 3 months tops. So what if you still have pain after that time? What if there is no obvious cause for your pain? What if you just woke up in pain, having had no traumatic event happen whilst asleep in bed? What if your symptoms keep shifting location for no apparent reason?

What if you've had the blood tests, the MRI scans, the CT scans, the X-rays etc and your GP has told you that everything is "normal" - only it's not, because you are still in pain! What was going on in your life when the pain started? SIRPA practitioners get you to examine the possible root causes of your pain, before giving you the tools and guiding you through a number of processes to get the brain to switch the pain off. The unconscious brain thinks it is protecting you by causing or maintaining the pain. Learn how to get it to stop "helping" you! Call Ashling Moore to discuss further if this is something you'd like to know more about.
